If bloggers want to be thought of as journalists, they will have to adopt
the ethics of journalism, which call for a separation of editorial and
advertising and disclosure when an opinion or fact is written about
someone or something that pays the journalist and/or is owned by the
publisher.

Which you guys do, so, I'm not sure what you are worried about.

If it turns out that once every few months a company and its network of
astroturfers is fined, then that may be enough to keep the vast majority
of people either honest or incentivized to reform.
