- Reflects badly on both companies
-
I think this whole ordeal reflects badly on
both Apple on Palm.
It makes Apple out to be hypocrites. I mean,
wasn't the whole reason for the lack of
interoperability with other players a DRM
issue? Didn't Steve Jobs say this himself the
last time Apple was under fire for being anti-
competitive? It wasn't Apple's fault, it was
the record industry. Right?
It doesn't make Palm look like a serious
company. They look like a bunch of hackers
trying to stick it to the man. A real company
would partner up with a competitor to iTunes
and market their solution as better. Or they
would provide their own application that could
allow the user to sync their iTunes music
library. Or they would create their own music
service.
In the end, in the tech arms race, I think Palm
has the upper hand. Simply because they don't
have to worry about breaking stuff. Apple has
to make sure that whatever roadblocks they
throw in Palm's path doesn't prevent iPod users
from using iTunes. - Posted by: Theli Posted on: 10/05/09 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
