I would disagree Sam...
You are missing the point of Mint then. This is a financial aggregator - nothing more, nothing less - to get a birds-eye view of your financial status. These features you want, would be better served by using the Quicken Online product (for a nominal fee) or do what I do - I use my banks website (USAA) to view my transactions as they happen.

There is no need for this "manual" inputing of transactions. Everything happens via the ACH and EFT - that before you even get home from the store, that purchase has already been added to a pending queue at the bank and post the next day.
