Electricity powered cars: NOT environmentally friendly
It costs more (=takes up more resources) to set up and maintain the electricity infrastructure and to produce the electricity, than to use normal gas.

Same goes for the electric car. You have to look at the whole lifecycle concept, which also includes design and manufacturing costs (= resources) - electro cars cost more - and to use - see above, than regular cars. Not to mention disposal/distruction costs incl. for those batteries (= poison).

Just looking at one particular aspect of cars, 'not gassing up anymore' is simply stupid. Only treehuggers are that stupid actually. Their minds - or what's left of it - are clouded by their rosy feel-good religion of treelicking.

Fact is. Driving costs resources. And electro-drivin costs more resources. And adds poisons to the environment. I know, it's a cold shower for the Gaia-kneelers, but that's life.
