..they have to make a move.

But I wouldn't call Android unproven in the market. I don't think you have to eclipse IPhone sales to prove yourself. The phones that are out are selling and just about every handset maker is racing to put their handset on the market. HTC is so far into it that they have to keep reassuring that they will continue to make WinMo handsets. I'd say thats proof enough. But what really makes these handsets sell isn't Android itself but the customizations to Android that the handset makers make. You'll see the custom HTC phones sell faster than any of the stock Android offerings. Motorola is going to have to rival HTC Sense.
