I'd be happier with an offensive against hackers
We need tools that attack hackers when detected. Just like how crime is reduced in cities where people are allowed to carry handguns, the masses need to be allowed to attack back. As long as everyone is allowed to only be on defense, this will continue. People should be allowed to hunt international hackers. Similar to how SETI uses thousands of computers to analyze chunks of data, McAfee or someone else should be able to recruit like-minded netizens to analyze web traffic, bad sites, etc. to go after the abusers.
