Te sadder reality
"Here?s the sad reality: PayPal - and the execs at parent company eBay - could probably give a rat?s behind what I think of their credit card policies. I?m not a frequent buyer or seller on eBay and don?t regularly use the service. And I?m just one guy."

No, the much sadder reality is that PayPal doesn't give a rat's behind about what anyone thinks. People using PP are stuck with PP, while other choose different processors. PP appeals to the hobbyist, the small timer online, those suffering from analysis-paralysis, those who like the convenience of the infrastructure and those who just can't be bothered jumping through the hoops of other providers.
