Goodbye, Pre. It wasn't you. It was me.

Palms' First Try Good, But Still More Work Needed: About month ago I went to Sprint to get me a smart phone to add onto the wife's plan. Either a Pre or Blackberry. I played with the Pre for a few minutes. After reading all the crap online about it, I was going to try it for myself. Well, the sliding part and the keyboard comments online where RIGHT. It was ok, but designed poorly. Actually, design half assed to me. The whole body of the Pre was toy like, not sturdy at all. The keyboard, well, pathetic. The OS was wonderful and I knew with the great OS, Palm would succeed to at least a new design that let the Web OS shine. To me the Pre was designed backwards. It should have been sliding out long wise, for a full qwerty keyboard with ALL the apps doing landscape. THEN, the Pre would have shined. Maybe Palm will listen.
