Analysts
Analysts keep repeating that Windows Mobile is old news. In the current state 6.1 is far behind the competition, except the skinned versions like HTCs TouchFlo interface. The thing that they don't tend to discuss is the fact that Microsoft has owned up to just about negelecting WinMo and they're stepping it up with the next revision (6.5) due out later this year and Windows Phone (WinMo 7) set to show what they can really do next year. A quick search will pull a lot of information on both so it's not like they're under wraps and anyone talking about the direction a company is taking should at least mention the fact that they are moving in the right direction. To say something like: "While we see innovation returning across the board at Microsoft, Windows Mobile remains the weakest link in the portfolio", but not mention the progress they are making in that area leads me to believe they just wanted to write a story to belittle the partnership with Nokia.
