Dont count on Clearwire WiMax

Being in a city where Clearwire is already rolled out I was excited to try it. Luckily for me a neighbor two houses up the street already jumped on it. The results are not pretty with connections weak and dropping all the time.

Verizon is the one carrier who got the coveted D open device spectrum (formerly analog tv) which actually travels a good way through multiple walls. I may I'll hold out for Verizon LTE 4G and jump from ATT then. My ATT contract will be up well before that but I wont be signing another until I see what Verizon does/offers. Between this and iPhone I think att wireless may be in for a substantial downturn...
