Sun's acquisition by Oracle
I agree with you Larry, Sun's hardware division has been a drain on Sun for 9 years. IBM's z-series and HP's superdome consolidation/virtualization has made centralization cost effective over server farm. While x86 units, took in a greater percentage of the low end server market.

Oracle executives have continously repeated that the Sun acquisition would add $1B to their bottom line in the first year.

The question will be, HOW.
