Self-serving White Papers
Almost all white papers are self serviing, so I can't fault yet another company doing this, and they made a couple points. There are other things they could go into such heavy detail on though. It all depends on business processes, which I can't tell if HyperOffice can accomodate. While I have my own personal MS Exchange account through the same company I have host my website, I don't do document collaboration from it. I do manage a lot of different tasks for all of the different projects I work. Most of my stuff however is kept in a WSS 3.0 site that I pay $8.95 a month for. I can apply workflows to it and have awesome security. My clients don't need any special software to stay with me either.

What would have been nice to see is a little more on the different types of email accounts a person can have. A big business problem is that people use their business accounts for personal needs. That would solve a little bit of a problem. Second, businesses need to understand the difference between POP3, IMAP, Exchange, etc. Some are more useful than others depending on the business case. If you are going to have very mobile people, I'd insist on Exchange with an OWA setup. Third, I would never tell a business to use Google for anything. Sorry Google, you just aren't safe for business. I fear all Google data is at high risk. There is no encryption. At least Hotmail/Live got this right. More importantly though, you cannot simply sort by the sender in Gmail. HOW IN THE HECK could someone design an email client without that ability?

If a business cannot afford a big solution like their own Exchange server, there are many who can host. If you need to be even cheaper, you can use Live services to run Office Live. I haven't used Hyper Office, but they fell short on explaining how their product is better than carrier pigeons.
