Wireless has become the best thing that has happened to cable.
Where does my WiFi connection go?
To my wireless router.
Where does my wireless router go?
To my cable modem!
Some cable modems even have WiFi built in.
So - from where I'm standing, the cable company is making a killing from WiFi, because anything I do on the internet, be it via WiFi or via Ethernet, goes through my cable.
