- It would be devastating
- It would be devastating to the credibility of the NYT if it were purchased by MS. Given MS's long history of shamelessly using non-credible propaganda ("Get the Facts", Jeff Jones, etc.) to serve its own purposes, readers would not be able to trust the Times after a purchase by MS.
