Ad-ware in the Cloud?
Targeted ads are not new and have been obnoxious in the past. I remember doing a search for a anti-virus app online and having an ad pop up from Symantec for their anti-virus app. It was really annoying in an interesting way.

If the ads are located out of the way and I can ignor them, then this is marginally OK. If I get stuck with an ad covering the content I am looking at, then it is not OK. Also, degrading performance of my computer or network throughput is not acceptable.

Advertising is a neccesary evil to get something free; but sometimes advertising is unneccesarily evil and should not be tolerated.
