I read the article twice, and yet
I don't see the reason for the reference to Altec-Lansing, which is just a name now. It once was a maker of fine devices for audio reproduction, both for home and sound reinforcement. Now it is simply a sticker slapped on to a new line of crappy computer speakers every now and then, with no ties to the original company, or its tradition of quality.
