I was an outside vendor (Contingent Worker in GS-speak) for 8 months at Goldman in NYC last year and I don't see a lot of similarity between the actual people there and the ones described in this article. There were very, very big egos on parade almost daily and temper tantrums and people refusing to work together was as common as multi-million dollar bonuses. There were a couple of Managing Directors who I swear had been dead for several years but were being physically propped up by their direct reports so as not to get another boss.
