- Patents and corruption
-
Many years ago a company named See Through Products invented the zip Lock bag. A multinational corporation came along and decided they wanted the patent. They used connection and friends in powerful places, and "proved that they owned the patent".
The real inventor lost his invention. Many of us know of such stories. We live in a society where big money can make patent laws and anti trust laws go away.
To make things worse, some new copyright laws make it possible to purchase a computer program or recording but not own it!
Corruption has always existed. It always will, but unless we fight back against corruption, our laws and freedoms will become a footnote in history.
