Absolute nonsense! There's world of difference between viewing a short low-rez video on YouTube and downloading a HD video. First of all, the internet doesn't have the spare bandwidth for everyone to be downloading HD features. Note how it currently slows to a crawl during Holiday shopping times.

Second, people don't want to download stuff overnight to watch HD. It's one thing for somebody to download a feature from a torrent site for free. It's completely another to pay for the privilage of tying up all your bandwidth doing so.

Third, people like holding a physical product in their hands. Especially if you plan to give as a gift.

Lastly, people are pretty happy with the standard DVD. Most folks don't care that they are not HD, because the up-rezzing is good enough for them.

Mark my words, few will be paying to download movies from the internet. I can get movies on demand from my cable provider, why in the heck would I want to spend all day downloading?
