Wireless power via induction, as was done with the 60 watt bulb is both directional and harmful to people. Not only is it impossibly hard to power a wireless device accurately when one is moving around, but you don't want to be between the transmitter and receiver. Oh, its pretty lossy right now too. So don't look for this in the next year. Maybe 5 years, and limited application. Or a full decade.
