Agree for the most part, except a couple of points:
-You don't really need a "vista premium certified" video card, just need something that supports DirectX 9 or better. A lot of cards may be older than Vista (and therefore don't have the logo) but can still give you the full Aero experience.
-Indexing can also be adjusted in the Power Options if you use the advanced settings. You can decrease the priority or even turn it off altogether.
