Top-down, bottom-up, until we get rid of THOSE terms ...
... it will always be "business as usual" for businesses the world over.

The mass of unorganized workers will NEVER be able to implement change from the "bottom-up" because they are simply not empowered.

The elite up in the penthouse offices will NEVER implement change from the "top-down" because it would mean rocking their boat and their having to share some of their riches.

The only effective, light footed business --- which can change to meet the times --- is when the business is small, and there is not of difference in salary or stature between the guys at the top and workers at the bottom. It is when the president of the company is actually down on the floor with the others, producing product.

Once you start to get a strata of personal economic levels, you inevitably migrate to the model of Haves and Have Nots. And unless the size of the company is reduced, the ability to "fix" your business model is nonexistent.
