A CEO of a publicly traded company has one primary job - to protect the shareholder's interest. Regardless of Jerry Yang's obvious technical expertise he failed as a CEO.
It appears Yahoo expertise has diminished and the purchase of all or part of Yahoo may not be as attractive to Microsoft.
