How could you, in 2008, not mention energy use
and sustainability, generally, including such things as reducing the toxic heavy metals in our hardware?
is it 1985 or something, when we all went gaga over gadgets?
Time to crank back the e-waste, and especially--super-especially--the energy waste that info systems and hardware now account for in our economy and society.
it would be nice if zdnet and others who have the job of sitting back and thinking about this industry would show some of the thoughtfulness that might be expected.
