Good post. The only piece I ever have exception with
is the standard complaint about [insert entity here] not allowing you to do what you please with their offerings, that you do not own said offering.

Linux, like many other digital products out also dictate what you can and can not do with it. Sure you can modify it freely for your own personal use, but beyond that their is little difference in terms of boundries: you do not own it

Like the RIAA looking over our shoulders, we have many other Linux foundations looking over over shoulders, and for what?

To ensure we understand that we do not own our copy of Linux, either.

And Linux in my Sony television is not of any real importance as I can not modify my television's operating system, can I?
