WHAT?
"The Department of Justice will ultimately approve the Google deal because derailing it could leave Yahoo?the second largest search player?materially weaker"

So with this new push for regulation we're seeing, the logic hear holds that Yahoo is sort of like a bank and needs to be propped up or the US economy, along with Yahoo, will get weaker, rather than no approviving a deal that would concentrate 90% of the US search market in Google's hands.

I don't think so, Justin. Any number of theories can be applied to why the hook-up is being delayed, the most likely of which Google and Yahoo and biding time to figure out if there's a plan B given that it's not a guarantee that the deal will be approved.
