The other tech source

The military is the source for a lot of our technology but there is another source that has produced it's share - the space program. Over the years the space program has created many of the technologies that we take for granted like microprocessors and medical imaging. It does so with none of the secrecy of the military. The results of space research are publicly available and easily licensed for private enterprise. So the next time somebody says "Why do we need to go back to the moon - we have hungry people here" explain to them how many jobs and tax dollars that NASA technologies have generated.
