Not really: the divestment usually involves the transfer of staff as well as the plant and systems to ensure continuity. Changes can be made gradually for those things the 18 month switchover doesn't cover.

Employees generally fear a transfer but my question to my own colleagues was "would you rather work for a company which views you as a secondary and non-core business ... or work for a global leader in the skill set which you possess".
