Another classic example of the broken justice system that favors the rich..
Apple executives were actively involved in theft and fraud any they are not going to prison. Who says crime does not pay? What is the lesson learned for other white collar criminals? Commit the fraud since the worst punishment the justice system will give you is a large fine and no jail time.

Heinen settled with the SEC on August 14, 2008, agreeing to pay a total of $2.2 million to resolve all of the SEC charges against her. Heinen is to return $1.575 million of allegedly ill-gotten gains from the stock options that she received, plus interest, and will pay a $200,000 penalty.

So Ms. Heinen, and others, simply avoid going to prison by paying a fine. If the average person stole millions of dollars you would be in prison right now. Period.

This is another classic example of the broken justice system that favors the rich over the poor.
