Network Neutrality

On the subject of "favoured" apps: The world has changed quite considerably since the great Browser wars.

I think people are a bit more discerning about things like favoured search products, for example, and will, say, on WiFi enabled phone either demand choice from their supplier or hack (in the good sense) around it.

For now most people will be more than happy with Google though the day will come when they won't be and some won't be right off the top so no matter the deals between Comcast and Google, phone users will start to find their way around it particularly the younger users who are more interested in configuring their device their way.

That said, though, app placement isn't the same as net neutrality and, for any real and valuable discussion of it needs to be addressed separately.
