I don't give any credence to Google's side of the story. As you have rightly explained, it seems Google is just trying to carve out a more friendly working enviroment for itself. Net neutrality itself is becoming a farce and the FCC has really tread on this comcast very cautiously or else the repercussions will be huge: Net Neutrality Violations: Worth a Closer Look(http://www.internetevolution.com/author.asp?section_id=539&doc_id=160123&F_src=flftwo)
