Many buyers are selecting more expensive versions. Microsoft revenues are up extraordinarily. Despite Apple's ads and sales, PC sales are up significantly.

And the SP 1 release usually helps sales.

You might consider that the reputation you discuss is not being accepted - or at least not acted upon - by most people and organizations.
