- where are you located?
- By the way your post reads you are in India now. Come-on, I have contacted several companies customer service in the recent past and the results of those contacts were poorest from the outsourced companies sites. It seems the local tech support is much better, not due to the intelligence of the support staff but to the exposure to the item or service supported, at the companies that are "local". You can go to Sears and get service for your toaster from a clerk at the sales counter or go to Sears service and have a tech look at the problem. Which do you think will resolve your problem best? If the tech support people in India actually worked in the field they were providing service for then our consumer results would surely improve, dont you think? The outsource service providers place a very intelligent person that speaks some english in front of a computer screen and they follow almost the exact same steps found at the providers faq page, What kind of service is that providing? Yet part of our consumer price paid is used to pay the outsource company to provide a service that consumers should revolt against. Please, lets look at outsourcing for what it is, and in my opinion that is a very poor substitute for service.
