Supercomputer Uses.

I don't want to sound dumb, but unless the NNSA does nuclear simulations couldn't they keep track of their nuclear stockpile with a Windows, Linux or Mac machine?

Update: I read another article related to the supercomputer that states they do simulations. So never mind.
