Your so-called "grown up" managers are basically good for nothing but squeezing assets out of a company. They don't encourage innovation, they don't produce new products and they are bad for both employees, who do most of the real work work and consumers who buy the products. The only people they're good for are the stockholders, who generally only buy in after the real work is done and are themselves only interested in squeezing out value.
"Grown up" management moves in, talent moves out.
