10.6 had better be fantastic
The Unofficial Apple Weblog floats a rumor that developers will get a seed version of Mac OS X 10.6, a build that will be focused on security and stability.

Apple has run a great marketing campaign based totally on lies. Anyone with half a brain can see that 10.5 is not more stable, nor is it more secure than Vista. In fact, it falls far short in both areas. It was the first to fall at the PWN2OWN and the only one to fall in its out of the box configuration. Try as they might, no one was able to break into a stock Vista or Linux box. OS X needs semi-weekly half gigabyte patches just to stay up on machines that were sold as displaying far more colors than they were actually capable of. Psystar put a real number to exactly how much Apple has been overcharging for the privilege of owning this junk.

Apple, last year you convinced 0.5% of the computer buying public to give you a shot with your ads. 10.6 had better be the one to keep them in the fold because 10.5 just doesn't cut it. happy
