It may be, but that's the winner. If Sony had been the HD DVD pioneer, maybe it woudl ahve won the format war, but Toshiba dropped the ball, which I know came as such a big surprise to all of us. In any case, people can hate blu-ray for the next 50 years, but that's the new technology choice, and it will be what we have, until a new wave comes along. My comparison to Intel wasn't about the quality of the product, but the dominant position of that product. Sony has taken its place as ruler of the HD roost, and Intel is sitting pretty on the processer throne, without any threat of AMD moving them in the near future.
