RE: Wall Street: Too much sway over the tech sector?
Sell your stock and move on. If you aren't
making the profit you want, leave to find
someone else. Share ownership is nothing more
than legalized gambling, and as with any
gamble, there are winners and loosers. If you
expect an employee to work for free, and
without a raise to pay you a penny, you are the
fool.

The last company I worked for focused on the
share price as the owners began to reach
retirement. Sloughed off several thousand
workers in the effort. Stock went up. Morale
went down, productivity went down, quality went
down, company stock now worth 25% of what it
was 5 years ago. But the retired owners are
happy and so are the shareholders that bailed.
Current shareholders hope it will improve.
Maybe, but when you loose focus on your bottom
line to only please Wall St, you loose focus on
your customer base and employees to the
detriment of everyone.
