The surge in price is due to rising global demand...pricing is not temporary...we are, in fact, playing a bit of catch-up. Europeans have been paying double what we pay at the pump for years. Tata Motors in India is bringing to market $2500 autos later this year...now much more affordable for the average Indian to own a car. Further demand for oil.

How to profit from this?
1) Own oil & oil services stocks.
2) As indicated, telecommuting goes way up. Own Cisco.
