SaaS needs a 16:1 Operations Cost Reduction
Great post Larry, I wish I was there with you guys to hear from the horse's mouth.

I've been writing for a long time that SaaS has a 16:1 operations cost advantage over conventional software. You don't get that kind of advantage easily. It doesn't come because your ops people are a little smarter or better trained than corporate IT. It is a core technology advantage that touches on multitenancy and a whole lot of other things. This is why the SaaS community is so skeptical when companies like SAP want to drop into SaaS. They know how hard it was to build that technology competency in their own products.
