Hi, my name is Glados and I'm an internet addict

I've been an Internet addict since 1994. At first it was just casual usage in my dorm's computer labs but it quickly evolved into a full-fledged addiction once I got my own computer and that sweet 56k modem with free university slip access.

I'd wager most of us who read this blog are unabashed Internet addicts. I've personally gotten a lot better about pushing back from the keyboard in recent years (kids will help put things in perspective.) Plus, after working on a computer all day I actually crave a more lean-back experience so I like to throttle down with softer drugs like TV in my spare time now.

Twitter's the scary beast du jour. I've kept my involvement minimal. But I have seen a co-worker lose his job due his compulsive addiction to web 2.0 contrivances like Twitter, ooVoo, etc.
