How about making the iPhone / Touch a USB mass storage device?

People are forking out $500 for a 32gig touch... why doesn't safari allow downloads of files while browsing?

Enterprise-grade equipment indeed. Apple needs to get over it's iTunes obsession make this a platform that plays nice is more ways than one.
