- It won't help if the underlying search engine is not improved
-
What Yahoo! needs is a better search engine, not frills.
The irony is that they own a better search engine since
take-over of alltheweb, but haven't improved on that,
and haven't wired it into their Yahoo! search.
Ditto with HotJobs! The search engine has remained
severely inadequate through several face-lifts (and all
the wasted effort and resources those involved). And
then they ripped out the OK discussions in an attempt
to coerce people over onto their "social networking"
space.
But then that might require hiring some bright,
creative, well-educated US citizen software engineers,
and as we all know this would get them banned from
the executive round-tables and such. - Posted by: Professor8 Posted on: 02/26/08 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
