VA Hospitals must die.
We have this separate, *redundant* infrastructure that is costing *billions* in taxpayer monies...called the VA Hospital system. There is no reason why veterans cannot go to the "other" hospitals in their community and have the VA contract with those hospitals for the care given. VA hospital buildings tend to be in inferior condition and underequipped, and the care received there is not on par. Yet, due to the redundancy of their very existence, they are costing tons of tax dollars. This is one area where the taxpayers and veterans *both* would benefit by the government simply shutting down the separate VA Hospitals and contracting with non-government hospitals!!!
