HP IT transformation
Talk to HP employees about how well the IT transformation is going. I think you'd be hard pressed to find anybody who says it's going well. Let's be honest -- Hurd and Mott are all about reducing costs, not about better service. Managers in HP IT are judged on a variety of financial and schedule metrics, but notably absent are metrics related to customer satisfaction. Fast and cheap is what gets measured and rewarded. Mott is famous for saying nonsenseical things like "Latency is a myth". Yeah, all those people in Australia are just imaging that their EMAIL got much slower after the servers were moved to Austin.
