Motorola CEO Ed Zander out

Motorola story is sad: Trust me , I know.
They invented the cellphone and look at them - chasing Nokia, Samsung. They have great technology, people but lack of visionary leaders. Zander was much better than the old tired leadership but Zander did not clean house like he should have.

He listened to the old school and sat on the Razr thinking "Thin" would carry them for a decade. Well, thin phones were copied in 6 months.

Today, Motorola still has not embraced the internet. They will get run over by Nokia, Samsung and soon - Apple and Google. Their current technology "leaders" are still trying to shoehorn the ancient ARM technology into ever so smaller phones - BORING! They are missing out on the move to USER EXPERIENCE which is increasingly internet based.

I fear they will be done with. Their Set Top Box group is equally a mess. They are still chasing commodity (cheap) set top boxes and begging the cable operators will buy it. Good grief.
