Missing the point..It's all about the book..
Unfortunately you miss the point of the large screen. While I agree that the body could be slimmer and sleeker and they could forget the slope of the device...
They have made a very scientific effort here to duplicate the precise look and feel of the paper-backed book. It is, in size, in thickness (large novel), and in width similar to the tactile experience that most avid readers are familiar with. For the next generation, readers who have spent fortunes on paper-backed books as well as hard-backed, nothing will replace the feel of the book except an exact duplicate with a HD screen that does not strain the eyes. So is this a prototype? Sure! What introductory product isn't!...will they change the size? Absolutely not for at least the next 20 years...they might offer a different smaller model, but this one and it's improved successors are hear to stay until the 30-something's and older die off or quit reading...(not likely).
