It is quite shocking the extent to which civil liberties and personal freedoms have been dented in the name of "law and order" in the UK.
In addition to all these cameras, there are the congestion charge camera's and enough speed cameras to ensure that you cannot drive anywhere in urban UK above the speed limit for more than a few minutes without being caught. 36 in 30 zone? fine is in the mail.
Whilst a work of fiction (indeed, fantasy) John XII Hawk's "The Traveller" should be a wake up call to everyone, especially in London.
I am sure that "the big machine" will soon enough provide plenty of evidence that these cameras are genuinely protecting people.
