DRM free?
It'd be nice if you were right about Amazon bringing out some new spin on e-books, especially if (a) the books themselves are DRM free and (b) they're making available a decent reader that isn't tied to any particular format.

Books have more longevity than songs. If I pay for an e-book, I want to be damned sure that my access to that book isn't dependent upon any third-party device.
