What about Java?
Where does all this leave Sun and Java? They would seem to be another potential loser, as it appears that the Google OS isn't going to be a Java virtual machine.

Just how much value will the Android-derived OS offer above plain Linux? The hype implies it's going to be something magical. In reality, it seems more that Google is attempting to create another defacto standard, as they've just done (apparently successfully) with OpenSocial.
